*christine-xo suggested 'Artistic Nude' as a theme, which I like (even though I'm pretty sure this journal will attract it's fair share of fragile little minds complaining about the depiction of the nake human body in art, as nudes features tend to). A lot of people (often mistakenly) assume that the main purpose of nude photography is to create a sexually arousing image. Not so. 'Nude' can be about many things - fragility and vulnerability, exposure, courage. Those concepts don't even have to apply to people - places and things can be delicate and vulnerable, exposed and strong, or even 'nude' in terms of colour or decoration.

I tried to put together a selection which featured nude humans (a mix of male and female models, and male and female photographers), clothes humans in poses and situations where they appear 'naked' in another way (vulnerable, implied nudity etc) and objects and places that were 'naked' too (lack of colour, lack of decoration etc).

Complaints about breasts or genitals will be cheerfully ignored. PhotoLust features ALL kind of art, and the themes are currently being suggested by watchers and supporters (as are a lot of the photographers and photographs).
