PhotoLust is an interactive photography resource for photographers of all ages and skill levels.  There's lots of useful stuff in the collections in the favourites gallery and the journal, artists and photographers to be inspired by in the journal features, and you can get involved by submitting your work to the gallery and answering polls (which will also help shape the future of the project).  If you have any questions or suggestions, get in touch!

PhotoLust IS NOT A CLUB, so you don't have to join and there are no members. Anyone can watch the account to keep up with journals, polls and submissions.  You don't have to apply or be approved to get involved.  If you watch the account, I'll watch you back to keep an eye on news articles you submit.


JUNE UPDATES
Welcome to the revitalised, revamped and all-round yummier NEW PhotoLust!  If you've been watching the account for a while, you'll have noticed all the new stuff appearing in preparation for the relaunch, and now that it's all finished and ready to go I hope you find the project useful and entertaining.

The recent poll about submission themes showed that most people wanted open submissions (ie no theme), but a bunch of you suggested having themes some of the time, which seems like a great idea.  So to celebrate the relaunch of the project, the theme for June is Fresh.  Check out the This Month's Submissions section for more info.

The poll about opening a PhotoLust chat room showed that there wasn't much call for one at the moment, so unless things change dramatically there won't be one.  There are loads of photography chat rooms already, so if you want to talk about photography, head in to dAmn and take your pick of the rooms.

Every month, you will be invited to submit your own work to PhotoLust's gallery.  Some months will have submission themes and some will be open submission (no theme) so please keep an eye on the journal so you know what you're submitting to!

Submissions are only open for two weeks(ish) out of every month to give me plenty of time to catch up with all your notes, and are limited to ONE submission per person per month, so please check the dates before you submit anything - help me stay sane!

Anyone can submit to PhotoLust, but I do ask you to please watch the account before you submit.  If all the other watchers will be seeing your submissions in their devwatch, it's only fair that you see theirs too.

If there's anything that you'd like specific critique on, feel free to include in your submission note a short message which I will add to the description of your piece in the gallery.  You don't have to do this if you don't want to, but it is a good opportunity to ask for critique.

These are featured because I like the photos and want to share them, and I only look at the deviant who submitted them to check that they aren't club submissions.

PLEASE don't gripe about how many comments, favs, views or DDs any of the pictures of the artists who submitted them have.  I don't care.  I don't look at that stuff.  I'm only interested in the individual images and how fab they are.
