It is a living document, so if you run an active photography project or community please send me a note or leave a comment here with a link to your project/community page and a quick blurb to explain what it's all about so I can add it to the directory.

This list is for photography projects and groups, but general art projects will be included if they are specifically for unknown artists, are critique-related or are projects or accounts made solely to feature other people's work.

=AnalogShots is... a photography club for traditional film photography of all genres.


*fineart-photography is...a community is to bring together the fine-art-photographers of Deviant Art. There are loads around and we'd like to build a gallery of their best work. EVERYONE who's interested in fine art photography can join! Being a member doesn't automatically mean you have to submit pictures, if you feel your art isn't good enough yet. You'll definitely learn from the experienced members!


~photogenius...accepts membership from every photographer, who practices every style, from Abstract & Surreal to Urban & Rural as long as the deviation is placed under the category PHOTOGRAPHY


The purpose of ~photography-key...is to expose DeviantArt Photographers photographs of all styles and mediums. It is also a place where people who are a part of this club can communicate and meet new people.


#Shutter-Vision is...a community driven, photography loving, people loving, deviant helping kind of club and we are here to get YOU noticed. We want to see the world through your eyes! Shutter-Vision is all about having fun, making friends and showcasing your work. We want to be the best club we can be.


~SnapShot-Club is...a club for all photograhy genre except artistic nude. Here in DeviantART there's macro clubs, skyscraper club, portrait club, etc. Well, were all those club put together.



[ SUBJECT-SPECIFIC PHOTOGRAPHY ]


#BloodlessCoup is... a no-blood-allowed horror and conceptual photography club, focusing on the atmosphere of this genre as opposed to the gore.


=cOnceptualise is... a photography project place for all things conceptual!


#HDR-Club is...for the HDR photography lovers!


=Insect-Lovers-Club is...a community for insect lovers.


*justportraits is...a community which was started to showcase the wonderful talent here on deviantART. It's focus is on portrait photography and only portrait photography.


~long-expOsure-Club is...a club for fans of photography that takes a little while longer to create. This could be from a 10th of a second or a single shot that takes hours on end to capture. Ever seen star trail photos? Moving light trails from tail and head lights from traffic? Painting with light? Flowing water falls? Ghost like images of people? Light creatures? Nightscapes? Well that’s the sort of thing that gives us a buzz. We take on any members and any relevant submissions to help you expose your work. Come have a look and feed your imagination.


*Macro-Beginners-Club is...for macro photographers of all levels of experience to come and showcase their work. We especially encourage those just starting to learn macro, or those wishing to start but need a helping hand. We aim for high levels of interaction between our members, we want our members to encourage newcomers to macro by offering their advice & critique to help others improve!


#macrophoto is...a group dedicated to macro photographers. Our mission is to help new photographers learn the art of macro photography and provide critique & encouragement for everyone's work.


#NewsStand...focuses on building the awareness of each of Photojournalism's 12 subgalleries: from Concerts & Musicians, Sports, Performing Arts, Public Gathering & Events, to Weddings.
Other topics discussed on the site include tutorials, resources, and never forgetting features from the staffs and contributors. #NewsStand also runs its own dAmn Chatroom: #Pub.


=PanoramaClub is...a friendly, helpful and welcoming club solely aimed at showcasing all those fantastic panoramas dotted around deviantArt. Our aim is to get your panorama looked at by as many people as possible, and to get you, the panorama photographer, noticed.


*Square-Intensity is...a community dedicated to showcasing portraits and self-portraits in square format that convey a particular intensity or emotion. This community is open to all people. We wish to see your best work here!


#The-Yard-Collective is...a club about street photography. Everyone can join and learn about street photography from our resources. Everyone can submit street shots and participate in the club's contests


[ CRITIQUE AND EDUCATION ]


*Photography-reviewed is...a club dedicated to teaching others about photography. We submit photos and explain the techniques we used to take the photos in a review. So come join our club and learn something new about photography!


~dA-Film-Alliance are... here to spread our ideas and help to fellow deviants. We are always looking for new members film and digital alike. We release journal entries and Newsletters to inform the community that film is not dead.


[ FOR UNKNOWN OR AMATEUR ARTISTS ]


~Deviant-Underground is...a club to promote lesser known art by Deviants from all walks of life. There's no real members, but we do encourage everyone who visits to consider posting one of the DU's journals and/or watching DU to help us promote work by talented artists, work that might otherwise go unnoticed. We're on a mission here, folks!
