(Greetings From the Newbie)

Howdy guys and gals.

This be *TazzyDee (Taz) - new admin of Photolust. I'll have to be honest with you, I'm a little terrified about this. Tanya did such an incredible job here, from its creation over 3 years ago, right through to the last feature/news article she submitted, and i'm not sure it was the best idea to give the reigns to someone as inept (or at least quite new) at group running as me. I've been going through the archives (journals and tutorials, polls and themed submissions), and it overwhelms me what a truly incredible place of inspiration and technical guidance this project holds. She put everything into this for us all and I can only pray (i'm praying hard) to somehow do it justice. Luckily for me, I have a very awesome lady by my side to help run things, the great and spectacular ~RhiannonNyx, drop by and show her some love - I guarantee she will deserve huge gratitude for saving my technology-challenged ass on a regular basis. One or the other of us will always be around for any questions you have.

A little about me

I'm 25, hail from dark and dismal Wales (UK), and somehow managed to complete my HND (Higher Diploma) in Photo-Arts last year. i've been on dA for a year, feel free to flick through my gallery/journals for an idea of what I'm about (constantly under development). I love photography simply because it's yet another way to express myself. I think madness would ensue if i couldn't do that. I use any form; writing, dance, but so far photography has proven the most exciting and 'right' method for speaking my thoughts and feelings. I was taught in the traditional darkroom, and am only just learning about editing programs. i still don't agree with major alteration without admittance of it being digital art, but the sheer scope of what technology now offers leaves me in awe. I love chocolate, animals, and every form of art, but won't tolerate negativity, drama-lovers or wasps, (they are the Devil's work).

In regards to my future time here at Photolust, I've only been watching a short time and this is where you guys come in

I'm very interested in every idea and thought you have relating to it. What do you want to see more of? Are you happy with everything how it has been, and want it to continue just so? Of course we have the Groups system coming in which may change the way things work. Tanya managed the project with wonderful grace, passion and genuine thoughtfulness; always looking out for ways to improve, new additions, scouring galleries and being generally incredible to you. So i intend to carry on exactly where she left off! I'll do my absolute best to carry on in the same vein, and please, never be afraid to tell me your views and tell me if I'm not doing things right; I love hearing community feedback, and after all, this is for you, so I intend to do my best to give you just what you want.

We'd both also like to send a huge thank you to every single one of you who have supported, participated, offered your thoughts and encouragement, and very importantly given subscription gifts. This wonderful resource could not exist without the incredible kindness of you, we all rely heavily on those gifts for its survival. Big thanks to *ShwarzEngel, our current kind benefactor. Massive appreciation to everyone involved with the project and making it what it is, and welcome to new watchers. Here's to another great 3 years!

It is becoming more and more apparent that I simply don't have time to run =PhotoLust alongside my GM duties. I love this place and based on the amount of comments, notes and contributions it gets, so do you.

The new dA Groups system is almost ready to rock so I would like to hand this account over to someone who does have time to run it in the way it deserves to be run - as an active project which inspires, promotes and encourages photographers of all ages, abilities and skill levels.

Ideally, the person who takes over will have been on dA for a while and have had experience in running or helping out with at least one existing group or project but who DOESN'T have any major group-related commitments already. The new admin will be over 18 so that they can view ALL artwork on the website and must be open-minded and tolerant of ALL genres and subject matter.

Whoever takes over will be free to do whatever they like with the account, providing that they continue to run it as a group/project and resource, and that if things get too busy to deal with they should contact me and I'll help out. The new admin is welcome to keep and add to existing content if they want to and is free to select their own team of helpers.

Before anyone notes me offering to take over, please believe me when I say that this place gets crazy busy. I know the new Groups system will change the processes involved in running a group considerably, but bear in mind that there may be weeks when running this project takes up a lot of your time. Don't say I didn't warn you!

It would help if you could tell me a little about your experience on dA, specifically relating to groups and projects.
